Everyone goes through that unsettling and anxious feeling of love and loss. Most of the time it emerges from an inadequate feeling of not being loved enough and also not having the right person in your life. It’s quite natural for many people to feel that way. However, it’s not easy to fully comprehend it. It’s possible that you are in love with someone and that someone is not in love with you. It’s also possible that you loved them before, but now you don’t have the same feelings towards them and vice versa anymore. It can be one reason or combination of many more. All the reasons lead to one experience, and that is unfulfilled life and deep feeling of incompleteness. That feeling alone makes your life absolutely unbearable and at times unlivable. But if you think deeply, is that the end of it? Is there only that person and nothing? Is that only them or no one? If that is so, something good must come out from this nothing.

As we all know nothing is the beginning of something. Therefore, if you are starting from nothing, something new, unexplored, unknown must come out of it and should be sufficient for human longing for love. That unknown could be anything, living or non-living. Can one have the same feeling of love without being with the person that triggered the very emotion in you to begin with. Possible, may be, or not at all. All three outcomes are a possibility. Are the feelings themselves more important or the person in question? Or both. Does the absence of that person and that person alone takes away the essence of love altogether? What is it? Which is more important, the feeling or the person? Is there any method by which you can separate the person from the feeling, and just be in love with the feeling of being in love, whether the person is present or absent. Isn’t that feeling of uncomplicated, unadulterated, and unconditional love more romantic than the romance itself? It’s a question to be asked, and you should ask yourself, is it the love or the idea of love more attractive.

The truth is nobody can answer that, because nobody fully understands the true extent of real and unadulterated love. Because we humans have not risen above the physicality of love. The true nature of love can only be understood by rising above the very nature of how we have defined love. Only when we have the understanding and full knowledge of true love, we will be able to understand whether the feeling is superior or the object of that feeling, or both. Therefore, love is more complicated than we can comprehend. It’s not one or the other. It’s all, and more. So, till we find the courage to rise above the physicality of it, we can safely say that we are doing almost all right. We are involved in this complicated affair and we are experiencing the full extent of it, and no one is complaining.
